Editorial Policy

Every course review and travel guide on this site follows the same standards. Here’s what they are.

How We Review Courses

1. Multiple Rounds Required

No course gets a full review until it’s been played at least three times in different conditions. First impressions don’t cut it — you need morning rounds, afternoon rounds, wet season, and dry season to give a fair score.

2. Standardized Scoring

Every review uses the same four-category scoring system: Layout, Conditioning, Value, and Vibes. Each scored out of 10. The overall score is a weighted average, not a simple mean — because a course with incredible layout but terrible conditioning isn’t an 8 overall.

3. US Benchmarking

Where relevant, we compare Vietnamese courses to well-known US courses. Not because US golf is the gold standard, but because it gives international readers a reference point they can relate to.

4. Updated Pricing

Green fees change. We verify prices before every major update and note the verification date. “Per round” pricing always includes caddie fees unless explicitly stated otherwise.

5. No Sponsored Reviews

We don’t accept payment for reviews, free rounds in exchange for coverage, or any arrangement that could compromise scoring integrity.

Independence

Affiliate links support the site (see disclosure). They don’t influence scores or recommendations. A mediocre course is still mediocre, regardless of commission structures.

Corrections

Found an error? Green fee changed? Course renovated? Let us know. We’ll verify and update.
