Fourteen days. Nine courses. Three cities. One country that will permanently recalibrate your expectations of what a golf trip can be. I’ve done this exact Vietnam golf trip 14 days itinerary twice now — once solo, once with three buddies from my old Palo Alto foursome — and both times we agreed: this is the best-value golf trip on the planet.
At a glance:
- Courses: 9 rounds across Da Nang (4), Hanoi (3), HCMC (2)
- Total cost: $2,500–5,500 per person (flights excluded)
- Internal flights: 2 (Da Nang→Hanoi, Hanoi→HCMC) — $40–80 each
- Rest days: 5 non-golf days for culture, beach, cuisine
- Best months: October–March (dry season overlap all regions)

Da Nang Block (Days 1–6): 4 Courses, 2 Rest Days
Da Nang is where your Vietnam golf trip 14 days begins, because it’s the friendliest entry point — direct flights from Singapore (2.5h), Seoul (4.5h), Tokyo (5h), Bangkok (2h). The four courses I’ve selected cover every design style: Montgomerie’s seaside links ($55–100), BRG’s Nicklaus parkland ($90–140), Hoiana’s Norman championship ($120–160), and Ba Na’s mountain spectacle ($100–160). Play them in this order — the difficulty ramps up gradually so your swing is sharp by Hoiana.
Day 4 in Hoi An is non-negotiable. Get a custom suit made ($80–150, 24-hour delivery) and eat your way through the Ancient Town. Book via Klook for a Hoi An cooking class ($25–35). Read our Da Nang Golf Guide for more.
Hanoi Block (Days 7–11): 3 Courses + Ha Long Bay
The Hanoi leg delivers the trip’s two biggest wow-moments: Kings Island’s 36 holes of Nicklaus design and an overnight Ha Long Bay cruise. Day 8 is the marathon — play Lakeside in the morning, grab lunch, then tackle Mountain in the afternoon. It’s 36 holes in one day, and your legs will feel it, but it’s the best single day of golf in Vietnam. Day 10 is a cruise to Ha Long Bay — the UNESCO World Heritage site. Book via Klook overnight cruise ($85–250).
HCMC Block (Days 12–14): 2 Courses + The Bluffs Finale
Save the best for last. The Bluffs Ho Tram on Day 14 is the grand finale — Greg Norman’s cliff-top masterpiece that will have you replaying shots in your head on the flight home. Before that, Long Thanh’s 36 holes on Day 13 pair perfectly with a morning at Cu Chi Tunnels. See our HCMC Golf Guide.

| Hotels (13 nights) | $520 | $1,170 | $2,600 |
| Green fees (9 rounds) | $500 | $800 | $1,200 |
| Caddie tips | $72 | $108 | $144 |
| Internal flights (2) | $80 | $120 | $200 |
| Transfers | $120 | $200 | $350 |
| Food & drinks | $280 | $560 | $1,050 |

| Tours & activities | $50 | $100 | $200 |
| Total per person | $1,707 | $3,208 | $5,994 |
🏌️ Dave’s Take: The mid-range option at $3,200 for 14 days is insane value. That’s $229/day for 9 rounds of championship golf, 4-star hotels, Ha Long Bay cruise, and three cities. My buddy calculated the equivalent trip in Australia at $7,500+. Vietnam wins, and it’s not even close.
